Okay guys. How fricken cool is this viewmaster wedding invite by Mélangerie Inc? "This invite features a nostalgic viewmaster with custom picture reel and insert card for additional information".

They are obviously the masters of charming, whimsical and unique invites. I am head-over-heels for this woodland save-the-date they created! And their hand-painted wedding signage. Ugh. Beautiful.

i love online shopping. not very good for my paychecks because they leave my bank account as quickly as they come in....but nevertheless, i love it. this month i will be receiving in the mail:

1. business cards for connie lyu photography ! can't wait to show you guys how they turn out.... hopefully well. :) i got them printed at a local printer in my area.

2. gouache paint that i got for 50% off the listed price from ebay! can't wait to start painting away!

3. this darling planner (remember how i told you guys i was looking for one?) despite it being mid-january already:

Trying to make more kraft journals. I'm not really digging the watercolor on kraft look ... though I do love those two things separately. Together the colors aren't able to retain their vibrancy... time to experiment more! Stay tuned for these journals being sold in the shop.

crystal + jon wedding invites

Wedding invitation I designed for my friend Crystal! My first time working with watercolor + computer. They have a orange-yellow/indigo/chartreuse color palette for their wedding...hence the colors :). They wanted something light-hearted/cartoon-like with craspedia (billy balls) to match their floral choice for their upcoming wedding...which is what the little bride and groom are standing on.

Can't wait for their wedding!

New card set in shop!

I am too idealistic. I thought I would have several sets up by now, but with finals looming overhead, I've only had time to make one! My apologies. But here it is, in the shop!

It's a summer-theme card set WITH really cute envelopes that I made from cute paper I found. Sorry there aren't images of the envelopes, I will try to post those today. Anyways, all the cards are hand-painted and one-of-a-kind.

Olive Manna!

A while back I did a friend's save-the-dates, and she gave me a gift card to Olive Manna to thank me (thank you Charissa!). I'm sad that I can't make it to her wedding because of my horrible finals schedule, but I know it will be such a joyful occasion for her :).

etsy baby born!

I've done it. I've opened an etsy shop. I've wanted to for the past 2 years, but never found the time to. And I was scared of rejection as well. This past week I told myself to suck it up and be a part of the community!

It's a beautiful Thursday afternoon and I'm sick inside. Eating things I shouldn't be eating. (Like cookies with chocolate in the center). Doing things I shouldn't be doing.
(Like watercolor-ing thank-you's instead of doing work).
