where the road goes

haven't updated this blog in a while (famous words of mine) because i've been so busy catching up on work and going in & out of town for weddings.  this past weekend, the husband & i shot the most special & intimate little wedding up in the hills of topanga canyon. (fun fact: the groom is the co-editor of a show we love very much .... think zombies & the south!). thought i'd share with you a fun snap!

the weather has been quite unbearable even in our typically breezy area of california, but fall is on the mind & pumpkin spice lattes are out and i feel good. i like to think of the autumn version of myself as the best version of myself, you know, because sweet warm drinks and nippy weather naturally bring about productivity.

twigs and honey

i don't think i've coveted something for my wedding this much until now. i'm pretty much head over heels in love with the new twigs and honey 2012 collection. i've decided i must stop looking at the pieces though because the ones i love are way out of my budget (that lovely top left number).  too sad.

cat couture

i absolutely love cats. so much that T spends lots of time making fun of me for it. i love cats so much i'm surprised i don't have any cat clothing or accessories (i must clarify: for myself). look at these adorable items on etsy here (tote) & here (dress). i'm almost inspired to make some cat wrapping paper with the print of that dress...i know, i'm obsessed.

i've been sifting the interwebs lately for geometric necklaces and came across these....loving these necklaces and the use of triangles from emedemarta.

bhldn.. on your feet!

i've started looking at shoes for my wedding.... i feel like i'm voluntarily torturing myself when i look at attire for my wedding.

looking at the bhldn shoe collection is like eating a pint of ice cream after dinner. you think you're satisfied until you start eating that pint... which tastes so good while you're eating it. when it's over, all you're left with is the extra weight and feeling not so good! not sure if that made any sense...but in any case, the bhldn shoe collection makes me so so sad. especially those versailles booties on the top left. $535! so beautiful. too expensive :(.

totally digging the pieces from 81 poppies (recently seen on the eclectic life)! i especially love the yellow dress and top right shirt.. would be really cute for a trip to palm springs.

too bad i can't afford any of their items... so poor. :( too bad my birthday is over... um... end-of-june-present? :)

Gosh, I simply love everything on Mr. Porter, a men's luxury goods store. As part of the luxury designer e-commerce site, Net-A-Porter, men's style site Mr. Porter provides a complete style experience that goes much further than suits, oxfords, and cuff links.

I happened upon it this week as I was shopping for T's birthday, at a loss for what to get him. I especially love the Style Directory with everything a man needs to know about style!

Too bad it's all too pricey for me to splurge on for T right now. :( I especially love that Ipad case....but you kind of need an Ipad to use it, you know.

I saw this top in kelly rowland's rose-colored glasses music video tonight...and then spent half an hour googling gold sequin items. Is that crazy? You tell me.

Love this skirt, this dress and this clutch. Oh man. I used to think sequins were so tacky too.
Now, on a quest to find myself a gold sequin-ed outfit. Not sure if I can pull it off.

TOAST

I have to say, I love looking at the TOAST website. Their clothing, linen, etc. all seem to have some far-away and yet right-at-home quality to them. I don't know if that even makes sense, but it does to me! Fancy but informal.



Aren't these prints adorable? Is it weird that I'm inspired by the bathing suit to make a print with something similar those colors and stripes?




Their clothing is pretty simple but seems so comfy/cozy! Like a weekend getaway/lazy saturday outfit.
