zakka (from the japanese 'zak-ka' or 'many things'): "the art of seeing the savvy in the ordinary and mundane".

five from the ground is a beautiful shop of collected antiques in kanagawa, japan. the items are sourced from all over the world and collectively embody the zakka aesthetic.

fabric & handle

Love these totebags from Fabric & Handle. I feel like I should purchase that last one and go on a Parisian adventure.

New card set in shop!

I am too idealistic. I thought I would have several sets up by now, but with finals looming overhead, I've only had time to make one! My apologies. But here it is, in the shop!

It's a summer-theme card set WITH really cute envelopes that I made from cute paper I found. Sorry there aren't images of the envelopes, I will try to post those today. Anyways, all the cards are hand-painted and one-of-a-kind.

Olive Manna!

A while back I did a friend's save-the-dates, and she gave me a gift card to Olive Manna to thank me (thank you Charissa!). I'm sad that I can't make it to her wedding because of my horrible finals schedule, but I know it will be such a joyful occasion for her :).

etsy baby born!

I've done it. I've opened an etsy shop. I've wanted to for the past 2 years, but never found the time to. And I was scared of rejection as well. This past week I told myself to suck it up and be a part of the community!
