new shelves!

_MG_8839

i finally had some shelving put up in my tiny office; i still have to organize a bit, but i'm obsessed with them! i'm embarrassed how long it's taking us to get settled in and organized (that's what we get for getting married/moving during wedding season), but any kind of accomplishment should be celebrated, right?

what small victories have you had today?

diy hex bracelet

I saw a DIY tutorial for this super awesome braided hex nut bracelet on honestlywtf and just HAD to make it for myself. Didn't quite get the right rope for it, but I made do!

How it turned out for me:

thursday snapshots: my space

After almost 5 months, I'm still unpacking and moving things around, so excuse the clutter. Actually, I'm such a pack rat that I'm sure it will always be this cluttered. Don't judge.

Excuse the tipped mug too, that was my cat.

I love my yellow lamp :).

tales of a junkoholic

I'm in love with artemis russel's cute little home. It's such a small space but it looks so homey with all her thrifty finds and creations :)

deck the walls!

Okay, can I just say something?

I generally think wall decals are really tacky, and while there are many that really are, there are some amazingly cute ones out there!

(no idea where this is from)

(lovemaestore)

Aren't they amazing?? I especially love the paper doll ones from lovemaestore on etsy. Too bad she doesn't do custom orders, because it would be a really cute wedding gift for a couple :). (Though technically, I think she makes them for children...).

TOAST

I have to say, I love looking at the TOAST website. Their clothing, linen, etc. all seem to have some far-away and yet right-at-home quality to them. I don't know if that even makes sense, but it does to me! Fancy but informal.

Aren't these prints adorable? Is it weird that I'm inspired by the bathing suit to make a print with something similar those colors and stripes?

Their clothing is pretty simple but seems so comfy/cozy! Like a weekend getaway/lazy saturday outfit.

They even have a TOAST "travels" or "stories" section that's fun to browse through:
